Below have references to Born in Georgia.

Since the Death Certificate for Claude Wilmer Garr Jr.
says he was born in Atlanta Georgia I assume all are in Atlanta Georgia.
However a Newspaper Clipping mentions he was born in Jackson, Georgia.

The spelling of Gaar to Garr changed after John Adam Gaar.

The first of these Garr's to settle in Georgia was Lt. Michael Gaar of Virginia. 
His son, John Adam Gaar, was a prominent citizen in NE Georgia (Elbert County).  
Then, Adam's son Rev. Michael Daniel Garr and Frances Rebecca Wilson were the parents of Joseph Henderson Garr

   Claude Garr changed his name in the late 1800 or Early 1900
      to Ira Anton Delkin. Anyone having information on why or when
      this name was changed please contact Garland.  He is my Grandfather.
      I have the rest of the story after the name change.
